Число розничных магазинов заметно уменьшилось — в больших торговых залах, заставленных товарами, теперь просто нет необходимости. Большая часть вещей и продуктов доставляется дронами на дом по подписке. Альтернативный вариант — забрать интернет-покупку в ближайшем магазине, переоборудованном под пункт доставки. Сокращение платы за аренду торговых площадей плюс более гибкая реакция интернет-продавцов позволили снизить цены на массовые товары. А былые храмы шопоголиков — ГУМ, ЦУМ и Детский мир окончательно стали развлекательными центрами.
