Philippe Verdy resistance of structuires woulld make the whole collaspse on itself, and even the Erath crust could not resist this load. The too expensive and enormously massive quatities of material needed would require demolishing large areas around and dig giant holes that would be inundated. Really, it will be much simpler to just start conquest the seas, below water. And there are other ways to get into space at much smaller costs without such giant inefficient structure. In fact the world will start being digged everywhere with cities under the surface that will be kept for agriculture. There will be many more tunnels, these undergrouènf cities will not need to be heated (Eath provides the heat naturally) but these underground cities will have to be cooled. Cars and trucks will be probitibed, even air travel will start slowing down, because of highspeed trains in depressurized tunnels, A significant part of humanity will not longer see the real sun, will just live with artificial light. The surface will be demolished, agricultural fields will replace the roads, and many forests will be replanted, because we'll need them to recycle our underground generated CO2 and produce the ocygen we need. And we'll adapt many animal species to live underground. There will be underground farms cultivating mushrooms, insects, and algaes in tubes with artificial light. The surface will then be only accessible to the richest people or as coslty leisure resorts. We'll still use oild, but we will only use it in underground chemical production without burning it and ervery CO2 generated will be recycled by underground production farms and a small part for forests. Some underground cities will partly collapse due to earthquakes, there will be giant fires in underground cities, and fresh air to breath will start become a resource to buy, just like water today. Poor countries will have also no other choice than liveing below the surface and eating powederd insects, their water will be severely limited. As most popualtion will live underground, there will be much severe restrictions for migrants that will be easier to enforce. The popualtion will migrate from center of continents to sea borders where giant underground cities will pump some fresh water, will recycle wastewaters, and will desalt sea waters in giant factories. The surface at the center of dry continents will be covered by solar farms producing electricy or algaes, and the electricity needed for the dsesalting factories on the maritime borders. Als slowly these borders will start being replanted by trees. The sea level will still rise and will cover most of the zones where the underground cities will start growing along the coast. Priority for lide on earth will be for agricultural products, animal diversity will decrease dramatically in favor of domestic ones (especially insects). Ther will no longer be fishes in rivers, no whales, or ursus, pets at home will start being prohibited if they are not productive, except for some lesure/sports (horse racing), and work (guard dogs). Cats will be exterminated, and we'll start eating rats recycling our wastes...

Steven Tomichek Although immortality has not been achieved, barring a violent trauma, the rate of improvements in medicine are outpacing the rate at which we age, and most people see themselves as immortal. With work being done by AGI and robots, people spend their time exploring the arts, playing sports, discussing philosophies, and enjoying the esthetics of life. Although robots do all the necessary manual labor, some people still learn and practice these skills as entertainment. A new expression of mental instability has shown up. With free labor available via robots, some people have become obsessive about building larger and larger estates, far larger than they could ever need or use.
