Реклама во сне

Сон и сновидения наконец-то будут изучены достаточно глубоко, чтобы научиться ими полноценно управлять. Осознанные и программируемые сновидения — крайне удобная штука. Как известно, люди могут учиться во сне, также во сне можно смотреть фильмы, чи-тать книги, виртуально путешествовать по другим странам и даже мирам — и это все не отнимает времени.

Adware-зловреды для осознанных сновидений будут подпихивать в сны рекламу — так, что человек не будет помнить о ее просмотре, но при выборе продукта это рекламное воспоминание из сна обязательно сработает.

Narmin I would like to make a comment on one thing you mentioned in this post; you said "...people can learn being inside a dream, as well as watch movies, read books...". Reading a text could never be possible in a dream, because when you are sleeping the part of the brain responsible for logic and intellect shuts down. Actually it is exactly why we can have unrealistic dreams/nightmares such as flying, teleporting, and etc. Actually, it is a bit controversal topic because when it comes to lucid dreams, there is an idea that we can have control over lucid dreams (namely being able to read numbers and letters) even though the intellect and logic part of the brain is inactive. I think before the project of "advertising in a dream", science needs to work on "how to activate the part of the brain responsible for intellect while sleeping or how to have a control over your dream while the intellect part is inactive". For now, to me "advertising in a dream" doesn't seem as an idea can be put into work in near future, namely by 2050 at least, given the fact that we don't have full understanding of even simple dreams.

Lordlimabean Despite what people here think, this will happen so long as modern style capitalism is in place. It is often said eyes are the gateway to the soul -it's been a staple of modern ads- but it's your own dreams you should fear.

Hackers can make the people they hate suffer really badly, maybe even drive them insane. It is possible, but difficult. You would have to change the neurons in the brain to move in a completely different direction. This means we need nano-robots, robots capable of going inside the brain and force the brain to show something they don't want. This is not a good technology in these cases. It can be good if you can control where you are going and not let ads get in. No internet, just a simple system that doesn't connect to a network is good. If it is connected to the internet, hackers can get in.
