Humans will become completely dependent on technology. Neo-luddism will be born as a philosophical current against technology that is imposed as a tool for social control and the loss of autonomy, assuming a disaster for humanity, the loss of values, superficialism, licentiousness, constant dissatisfaction, lack of true goals or purposes. Technological advances make inevitable the restriction of freedom and the isolation of humans, since they are trapped in a regulatory structure where technology restricts and prevails over the freedoms of individuals. The use of technology will be so extensive that humans will become completely dependent on it for their everyday lives and activities.
Technology will become an integral part of people’s identities, with the potential to shape and influence their behavior and decisions. People will be addicted to technology and find it hard to stay away from it. People will be so reliant on technology that they will no longer be able to think and solve problems on their own, leading to a lack of creativity and innovation. The consequence of this over-dependence on technology is that people will become isolated and disconnected from others in society. Social interaction will be reduced as people become more absorbed in their own devices, leading to increased loneliness and depression.
People will also become more vulnerable to security threats and cyber-attacks, as their reliance on technology increases. Moreover, technology will be used to control people and manipulate their behavior, as governments and corporations use it to monitor and track people’s activities. This will result in a loss of privacy, and a loss of autonomy as people become increasingly dependent on technology to do their everyday tasks. Overall, it is clear that the over-dependence on technology will lead to serious consequences for humanity, with a loss of freedom and autonomy.
