Going on virtual family trip

Tokyo
Going on virtual family trip
By 2050, family dinners won't just be about food anymore – they'll be about connecting across continents through immersive virtual experiences. When your cousin in Tokyo wants to join your Sunday brunch, they'll be there in stunning 3D VR, complete with realistic textures and spatial audio that makes it feel like they're actually sitting at your table. Family celebrations will be completely transformed. According to the latest Kaspersky survey*, conducted in 2025, the 43% predicted this shift and they were absolutely right – in 2025 virtual family gatherings have become the norm, not the exception. Birthday parties, holidays, and even everyday meals will happen in digital spaces where everyone feels present and connected, regardless of distance. What’s more by 2050, you could take your whole family on a trip to Mars or explore ancient Rome without leaving your living room. Your kids will have more virtual travel experiences than real ones, and the VR travel industry will be worth more than all the physical tourism combined. The future family is going to be pretty amazing – they'll have more ways to connect than ever before, even if they're all scattered across different planets.  * The study was conducted by Kaspersky’s market research center in November 2025. 3000 respondents from 15 countries (Argentina, Chile, China, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Malaysia, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Spain, Turkey, UK, United Arab Emirates) took part in the survey.
