Cyber attacks: real victims of a virtual weapon

The international community is contemplating legislative prohibition on the use of virtual space for computer wars. Such unprecedented measures are caused by frequent cases of cyber-attacks on government offices, the world's major financial and business centres and the key infrastructure facilities.

With increasing frequency, cybercriminals disrupt the operation of the computer systems that control military equipment and provide support and security for civilian facilities: telephone, water supply, power plants and electrical grids, fire protection, transport, etc. At best, this results in facilities being temporally disabled. But it is scary to even think about the consequences of a large-scale planned cyber attack on a nuclear power plant or a nuclear weapon station.

Jacob S So as the threat of foreign interference/control or, even worse, the terrorist control of critical stations, there will have to be precautions. Many at this time are talking about the creation of a space themed military branch. However, I believe that the creation of a military branch to protect the nation is one of more importance. I will admit though, the idea of an army of anti-hackers sounds ridiculous, but I really believe in the importance of such an action.
