Gold-bearing algae

Genetically modified algae, which can accumulate useful elements in their tissues ,have been created. Rhythmically swaying, vast expanses of fields radiate a golden glow from deep below the surface of the water - it's time to harvest gold-bearing algae. This will be carried out by special robots, which will deliver the algae to floating platforms for further processing. The process is fully automated and requires little or no human intervention.

Manufacturing waste will be used to create environmentally friendly fossil fuel. It’s a waste-free process that maintains harmony between humans and nature.

Oleg Petukhov Такие поля целесообразно размещать в устьях крупных рек, протекающих через золотоносные районы: Лена, Колыма, Яна, Амур и подобные. 06 Feb 2019
Maxwell Thurber I've never heard of this. Since when are algae capable of synthesizing such dense elements like GOLD?? What do yo mean by "environmentally friendly fossil fuel?" Putting CO2 into the atmosphere is bad no matter how you create the fuel. Isn't the future supposed to be about eliminating fossil fuels? France already has a goal of eliminating gasoline cars by 2030. My prediction? The U.S will be the last country on earth that still produces and uses fossil fuels, and the rest of the world will greatly sanction them for it, like demanding the national debt be paid faster, and barring trade with the country. This could bring a halt to economic growth, even going so far as to cause a recession, or even a depression 120 years after the last. Maybe instead we could use the algae to create a power cell that runs on the electricity these creatures generate by synthesizing sunlight. 06 Feb 2019
