Theft at fully automated mining enterprises

Mining is fully automated, and the presence of people at the mining enterprises is no longer the case, because it is harmful to health. Some robots extract rock from the soil, others clean it, the third control the process, the fourth guard the perimeter while the fifth transfer the purified ore outside the enterprise and deliver it to consumers.

A hacker who gains access to the system can reprogram individual robots so that they take a certain percentage of the platinum ore to another, unauthorized place. This implies that robots-guards are also hacked and don’t notice the theft.

Marcelo less jobs means more people desperate for work and willing to work for less so mining will be made by men except in developed countries where there will be robots but always watched by men and very difficult to stela from 06 Feb 2019
Evgenij Valentinovic Klenin I love the creativity, would make a fascinating short-film. Maybe Kaspersky OS can be an effective impediment to industrial hackers / saboteurs by then? 06 Feb 2019
Giovanni Dimaggio Automation will eliminate most of human manual work by then and going further into the future. What to do with all the people who don't find work then? Not everybody has the IQ or may even want to do the jobs thatt remain due to lack of intellectual abilities like phantasy, creativity, emotion, intuition in AI for the foreseeable future. Leaving so many people without a useful occupation and especially without the means to maintain themselves (food healthcare, housing, transportation) would have only two imaginable outcomes: social rebellion, violence and chaos or a very different kind of society whre everybody receives a basic income that allows them to do the work they want to do. Anyway I think 2050 is to close to have such a profound change. Before that there will be masses of people loosing their jobs without adecuate replacement, causing serious social problems due to a few becoming extremely rich and a huge number of people becoming poorer and poorer. Among the first to loose their jobs will be millions of drivers in tha transportation industry which will be replaced by self dring cars and - most importantly - trucks. 06 Feb 2019
Devin McLaughlin Millions of people will lose their jobs because of this technology. 06 Feb 2019
Zachariah Clark If you had people guard the area, or had real-time satellite imagery, wouldn't they be prepared to check and report where the robots were going? 06 Feb 2019
