In the near future, Artificial Intelligence (AI) could completely replace traditional schools and universities. AIs could create and select their own curriculum and provide full access to knowledge 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This would allow students to gain information faster and more efficiently than ever before. This new form of education would drastically change the way humans acquire knowledge, taking us to a future where AI is the essential piece of our society. Despite the benefits, there is also concern for a series of potential negative consequences, as AIs lack empathy, the ability to provide moral guidance, and subtle understanding of human behavior, particularly in areas such as social and emotional learning. Additionally, AI systems are not immune to biases, and can perpetuate or amplify existing inequalities. Therefore, AIs should be seen as tools to improve the educational experience of students and not as replacements for their teachers.
