It's been 4 years since Tesla has claimed FSD-Level 5 autonomy. Though, it's been only 2 years since all states of the US and some other nations have approved of FSD. Few other companies around the globe have also developed their own autonomous vehicles/program.
China mandates the production of vehicles with autonomous capability to its auto-industry (for its citizens). China autonomy program outperforms the rest of the nation's autonomy program in terms of the least accident rate due to aggressive incentives to gather/use more data from citizens.
It is not economical and relatively safe anymore to buy a new vehicle (be it EVs or ICE) that are not autonomous. Few more years expected before almost all non-autonomous vehicles on the road to be replaced by autonomous vehicles (especially in developing nations).
Almost all the nations in the world have created aggressive roadmap to autonomize the auto industry (100%) to reduce death rate of citizens (as a result of human driving).
98% of vehicles by 2040 expected to be autonomous.
