School of the future

Classes, home assignments and marks - all these belong to the distant past. Now school is a place where you can have fun and socialise with your peers. Finally, every students’ dream has come true: distance learning in many disciplines. Therefore, everyone can acquire a knowledge of physics or biology while sitting under a tree in the park, or brushing one’s teeth in the bathroom. The focus of education has shifted from multiplication and verification of specific knowledge to critical and independent thinking, multi-level problem solving and innovation skills.

As for the ability to interact and work in a team, there are study groups of schoolchildren who are faced with a specific task, for example, to create a model of a worm in virtual reality. There, it is not so much the result, but the process itself that matters.

Lotertoi As fun as this may seem, the education level would probaly go dawn heavily since basic questions or skills would be null if there is no interaction. Yes it is virtual, but (and this happened on 2020 in my school) various students during covid simply missed classes becaus they could just place a gif of them moving and easily skip class. Still the last section of the article can be salvaged as a good oportunity to improve kids lifes for the pressent and future and also the part that says they have a higher focus of critical thinking, metacognition, creativity and information management. The rest can not be salvaged.
