Solar power becomes primary source of electricity in most cities

The ease of use and advancing technology behind solar energy along with pushes to convert in the political arena have forced the local energy providers to think differently and work with home owners who have solar roof systems installed. More than 96% of the homes in Phoenix, AZ have solar energy and energy storage systems. The local power company now maintains and regulates installations of these systems and no longer uses other sources of energy. Transmission lines are now considered obsolete and are scheduled to be removed or repurposed.

Lukeson Gaming ^reply to comment above^ I think that we can build solar power skyscrapers which is just a bunch of solar panels on the side of a skyscraper. 07 May 2019
Backtospawn Solar power is too unreliable. Unless we can make inexpensive batteries with huge capacity and virtualy no wearing out this can't work. It's likely we will have a big percent come from solar power but you'll still need the electrical grid to distribute it evenly and other forms of energy production like nuclear and carbon fossils. Hopefully we'll have reduced CO2 emissions to negligible rates by then as well as reforestation, allowing for some burning to happen since it's the cheapest way to stabilize a grid against the solar powered spikes. 20 Apr 2019
