The end of smart phones: Time for advanced brain-computer interfaces

By the year 2050, humans will no longer use smart phones. Instead, their brains will be directly connected to the internet through advanced brain-computer interfaces. When someone wants to access information, call a friend, turn on a light, or order a meal, they simply need to think about it, and it will happen. AIl algorithms will run alongside normal brain functions, helping people learn new skills, manage their lives, and perform complex tasks.

The cloud will become an extension of each person's brain, much like our smart phones are today, except all the information will be seamlessly integrated into our conscious awareness of the world around us.

Bro 69 Interesting, how it will impact our brains... If people became more stupid with the internet, what can happen with direct connection - people might stop using their brains at all.

Paola Guevara I don't think living beings are going to be able to stop creating smartphones, because we all want to be attach to an object, also I believe there are still people that like to have the least connection to technology in order to have more privacy. Furthermore, having that kind of "system" in our brain may damage some organs or functions.

Boredom Paola Guevara, Eventually they need to have one, why? They may never get hired because their brain is hundred times slower then people who do have that tech, they be left behind, can't learn as much as people with the tech, there 40+ more reasons they need to have, and if they have it, smartphones become useless because you can do it in your brain, like watching a video, play a game, call someone, google something, etc everything just via thoughts. You know how amazing that would be? we'll be one with the AI. AI can't control us if we are just like them but with emotions.

Boredom James Studer, Umm, everything you do on internet isn't released to the world just to the companies, and everthing you do on internet is all being seen by the corporations, but i really don't care. so they know what my thought where, so what? what are they gonna do? and im sure 99,99999999999999999% won't give a shit. andwhat do you mean with i pass? it's not like the tech is on your hands. (no offense).

Christopher Sweezey I'd definitely be on board with this. My only concern would be that my brain would now be hackable. That's VERY concerning, actually...
