Transcontinental Hyper Loop trips

We draw a part of the highway outside of the city and stations inside the cities

The whole world is covered with a transport system called the Hyper Loop, where capsules on magnetic cushions circulate. Inside its pipes, special conditions are created, which allows capsules weighing about half a ton to move at a speed of 6500 km/h, and passengers do not experience any significant overloads. The new form of transport turned out to be so fast and cheap that it has almost substituted passenger air transportation.

Tristan Jobin Two problème, any variation or caprice of nature can cause a break (over those distance, a slight change in température create miles of expansion and a wind will be like blowing on a string and métals don't like to bend) in the sealed tube and this breach will created a rapid flow of rushing air and affect, not just the train that will pass on the hole, but every train that is in the tubes (the train will it air at maybe 7000 km/h and break the sound limit, all at the same time). Second, you got to get to those speed without killing your passenger of acceleration (6500 km/h is fast).. 06 Feb 2019
Raptor1324 imagine if everyone just floats while their on it lol that would be funny 06 Feb 2019
Paul Ngoma But what are some of the security measures in place? 06 Feb 2019
Patrick Harper The first public hyper-loop will be a victim of attack (either from a rival economic entity or from a terrorist act). Giant vacuum sealed tanks running thousands of Km that would need all but the slightest interference to cause great loss of life. Yeah, that's nightmare material. 06 Feb 2019
Adam Sinden Picture a busy airline route from New York to London. Now imagine that path along the ground. Now realize that anything that goes wrong along that ground path, an accident or an intentional explosion or crash. That's OK, it won't effect any of the planes. In the hyperloop however, everyone in any plane along that route is going to be hit with a supersonic column of air. It will kill everyone on said route. There are safety and engineering concerns with a vacuum system that can not be overcome any time soon and maybe not ever, without fanciful things like inertial dampers. 06 Feb 2019
