Environment-friendly Ratings

People will be rated on how environmentally friendly their lives are based on the different choices of transportation, food, practices at home and purchases. This footprint will be calculated in real time leveraging mobile technologies and the IoT. The ratings will be used in the calculation of taxes for individuals and organizations as well as provision of access to benefits and discounts. The score will be publicly visible on the main social networks.

Emily Eberhardt It´s a good approach to make people become more environment-friendly, I just don´t believe it will be so radical. I could see this come true for companies but not for individuals.

rbuszka The openness of this sort of calculated or derived personal data will lead to unintended consequences, such as at least one new type of shaming - environmental shaming. Society will likely be led by the managerial elite class to accept a new status quo where shaming behavior is viewed as virtuous, and shame is the new greatest fear used to manipulate people - not guilt.

Oleg inc Идея очень хорошая, но ближе к утопической. Если это будет реализовано то очень локально и скорее всего в опции по желанию (как многоразовые сумки для покупок сейчас, да они есть но большинство берет пластиковый пакет).
