Water and wind catchers

Cute but old-fashioned wind turbines are replaced by more advanced wind generators. These towers are shaped like huge cyclone funnels. They reach higher than the clouds and can use the strong winds present at great heights. The air inside the tower is accelerated by pressure differences, and this increases the efficiency by thousands of times.

The considerable difference in temperatures between the base and the top of each tower also makes it possible to condense and accumulate fresh water. This way, by 2050 each tower has sprung a large oasis amid the surrounding deserts. In addition to providing fresh water and energy to places that used to be uninhabitable, these oases have attracted lively artist colonies that use the towers for experimental purposes.

Brett This could be improved by using the towers for accommodation and/or commercial space and by adding greenery walls and platforms at the lower levels too.

Supriyo Chakraborty i feel afforestation is much better approach, even mesh net like spider nets can effectively catch dew better making it decent source of water. Use of mentioned mechanism has too many big moving parts which makes it seem inefficient in most places with directional wind current.
